The Icarus Adonis, off the shelf. A new class of unloader: the Distraction Hinge extends 1 cm as you walk to separate the joint and unload the affected compartment. Medial or lateral versions for the left or right knee, weighing under 10 oz.
Compartment: choose the side of the knee to unload, medial or lateral.
Sizing: measure the calf circumference 6" below the centre of the knee.
XS: 9 to 11 in (23 to 28 cm)
S: 11 to 14 in (28 to 36 cm)
M: 14 to 16 in (36 to 41 cm)
L: 16 to 18 in (41 to 46 cm)
XL: 18 to 20 in (46 to 51 cm)

Indications
- Medial or lateral compartment knee osteoarthritis
- Knee instability
- MCL or LCL unloading
- Meniscal tear management
- Unloading after meniscal repair surgery
Contraindications
- Patellofemoral or multi-compartment osteoarthritis (the Ascender may suit better)
- Severe varus or valgus deformity that does not correct passively
- Significant fixed knee flexion contracture (the knee cannot straighten)
- Unhealed fracture or recent knee surgery, unless your surgeon has cleared you for bracing
- Open wounds, ulcers or skin infection where the brace sits
- Suspected or confirmed deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in the leg
- Severe peripheral vascular disease or poor circulation in the leg
- Reduced sensation in the leg, unless fitted and monitored by a clinician
- Known allergy or sensitivity to the brace materials

Warranty
Off-the-shelf warranty: frame and hinge 2 years, straps and pads 6 months. Covers manufacturing and material defects from the date of purchase. Normal wear and tear is not covered, and the warranty ends if anyone other than your clinician modifies the brace.
